Mae Hong Son

Featured Replies

Please could anyone report on the mobile signal quality in Mae Hong Son and nearby?

This is particularly useful feedback from anyone who uses an AIS mobile sim dongle and can report reliable connection speeds from the area using that or similar equipment for internet.

Thanks in advance

It's been a couple of years but AIS had good signal strength inside and out of the city itself, DTAC wasn't so great 30km+ outside of the city but that's phone reception only, can't comment on net speeds. Someone might have more recent info than that.

I am not sure if this is useful to you but I was there one month ago with a CAT CDMA MiFi device. Excellent signal and coverage, almost 2 mbit download which is pretty good for the device.

Also if it's any use to you there was good service with DTAC for my iPhone, but just Edge, no 3G.

Sorry, I don't use AIS, I hear it is pretty slow in general...
