I wish all these persons well, but I still flinch a bit when the NY Times writes "He went on vacation with his husband" or "She opened the restaurant with her wife." -

Report PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra Defends Father's Hospital Stay Amid Scandal
So should all prisoners with a history of Covid19 be moved to hotels cells with 5 star facilities or is this just the privilege of serving ex Prime Ministers? How many other sick prisoners in Thailand have been forced to serve their term in a luxury penthouse? -

Truevisions loses EPL
Looks like they've won the rights for both EPL & FA Cup games in Thailand, Cambodia & Laos until at least 2030/31: https://mono29.com/prnews/499085.html And it doesn't look like Truevisions are going to get any look-in: https://www.jasmine.com/en/updates/corporate-news/388/jas-จับมือ-ais-ลงนาม-mou-ดึงคอนเทนต์ลีกฟุตบอลระดับโลกเตรียมเสิร์ฟตรงถึงแฟนบอลไทย-ผ่านแพลตฟอร์ม-ais-play-และ-monomax Despite all the brave words currently being uttered at the JAS end at the present time, I seriously wonder whether we could end up having another CTH-style fiasco on our hands in practice when and if they eventually realise that they have bitten off more than they can chew. -

Accident Family of 4 Seriously Injured After Going Through Windscreen in Truck Crash
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. Four members of the same family, including two young children, have been seriously injured after a truck driver, carrying cement, lost control on a rain-slick road and crashed into a roadside barrier in Chachoengsao province. The incident occurred on the Chachoengsao-Suwinthawong Road at kilometre marker 64+100, in Moo 5, Wang Takhian subdistrict, Mueang district. Emergency services from Phutthasothon Hospital, along with local rescue workers, were dispatched to the scene. According to reports, heavy rainfall had made the road surface slippery, contributing to the driver of the truck losing control. The vehicle spun out and slammed into the barrier, causing the driver and 3 passengers to be violently thrown through the vehicle’s windows onto the road. The injured have been identified as Mr. Suradet 34, the driver, who was unconscious at the scene; Ms. Phaksuda 35, who suffered a head injury, a 6-year-old boy with a severe head wound and having seizures at the scene and a 1-year-old boy with injuries to head and left eye. All were rushed to Phutthasothon Hospital for emergency treatment. Ms. Phaksuda told authorities that the family had departed from Phanat Nikhom district in Chonburi and were en route to Kaeng Khoi district in Saraburi. As they approached the Starlight Junction traffic light, her husband slowed down to turn right toward Bang Khwan Bypass. However, the rear of the truck skidded, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and crash forcefully into the barrier. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the truck spin and crash, with passengers being ejected from the vehicle. Bystanders quickly intervened to assist the injured and redirect traffic to prevent further incidents. Local residents noted that the area is notorious for crashes during wet weather, with several vehicles previously losing control under similar conditions. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. Adapted by Asean Now from Khoasod 2025-05-14.
