German-Danish Bachelor In International Sales And Marketing Management Looking For Job

Dear reader,

The time has come and next week (June 1st) I will be landing in Bangkok to begin my one month job-seeking journey.

A long preparation time is now about to be finished, several applications has been sent, some answered and some not. One could argue why I start the journey to Thailand without having any addresses to go to, but believe me when I say that I have plenty of plans and the right motivation for this journey.

What do I seek in Bangkok?

As I am a recent graduate, with a double degree in International Sales and Marketing Management I now seek for my first challenge and opportunity professionally. The choice of Bangkok as a market to work with is simply that I still do see a lot of chances for development that I don´t see in my own country anymore. I see lot of spaces for improvements, but also see a lot of topics where I could see the Western companies benefit from the Asian working culture.

I see Bangkok as a hub for Asian and Western business, and unlike China the chances for continuous growth is yet unlimited.

Hence to prior research about Thailand, which was underlined with a vacation for some time ago, I still lack some more knowledge about the culture, work life and possibilities and restrictions locally. And where to better get to know that if not Bangkok itself? The Internet can only show me a lof of different facts and opinions, but instead I like to take matters in my own hands and look for myself what is actually true and not.

I know there are a lot of restrictions about us foreigners working in Thailand, but I think that if the motivation is right and the right portion of patience is there, then everything can be achieved. Call me naive, call me a dreamer - but I believe that in order to do extraordinary things it takes extraordinary measures.

Long story short, here I come Bangkok.

What is the purpose of this post besides announcing my arrival? As this is a forum for job-seekers I likewise would like to express my wish for a job and will gladly provide you with details about my person, copies of my diploma and application, if you, or someone in your community/network should be in the position of hiring new staff.

At the end some short facts about me:

My name is Bjørn, which is a nordic name and in English means Bear. I am 29 years old, of german-danish nationality and have been living in Germany for 12 and Denmark for 17 years. Currently I live in Germany again, to prepare for my mission of living and working abroad.

I have been studying at the International Business Academy and hold a AP degree in Marketing and a double degree in International Sales and Marketing Management, as stated earlier.

In my spare time I spend quite a lot of time reading books in café´s, playing badminton, going fishing, bowling or writing on blogs. I spend time on helping SME´s with Business Development, Marketing and Sales- strategy.

I am highly Entrepreneurial and Innovative thinking and especially spend a lot of time finding cheap and unconventional ways of doing Marketing for SME`s.

I am quite excited about Guerilla Marketing, Green Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Body Language and Culture studies.
