ChrisP
I am on a 30-day "stamp-in" at Don Muang. Expires Jan 3. I went to Suan Plu last week and applied for a 10-day Extension. Process was fine. Took about an hour and I was told "all is ok". But when I read the stamp in the passport it said: SECT.5 SWB-DIV2 IMM-DIV 1 APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF STAY IS NOT APPROVED. APPLICANT MUST LEAVE THE KINGDOM NOT LATER THAN 13 JAN 2006 Signed:.............. But that date IS 10 days after my stamp-in expired..... so it must have been approved. Confusing, no? astral
Sorry Chrispy, you did not really get an extension, just a knock back and 10 days to quit. I know it amounts to the same thing, but it is different. TIT. Edited January 3, 2006 by astral
lopburi3
As said the 30 day entry without visa is not extendable so they give you 10 days or so to leave the country. Looks bad but is normal and nothing to worry about. Much better than being told no and have to leave.
