Some Family Mart shops do wi-fi.

All depends where in Pattaya you are going to be.

Would this not be better off in the Pattaya forum?

Maybe he means "wifie"

Mobile Broadband?

Should you recognize the name of the establishment in the connection list (ie: restaurant ABC), pop in for a drink and get their password.

Not really sure what you need...in the condo or walk-around service? Many restos and cafes have free wi-fi so there's a start. There is also quite an extensive public paid wi-fi service available in many areas of central Pattaya (BBB and TOT both). These services you can subscribe to on a daily or monthly or data-use basis and the cost is very cheap. If you have a 3G phone or mobile device, there are also the data networks of the phone carriers you can buy, again by time or data usage and again, the rates are very reasonable.

Get a USB aircard.

True and ais have unlimited, upto 5gb in the small print!!!! not sure about DTAC unlimited but worth checking. How they can call it unlimited but upto 5gb is beyond me.

As aforementioned, TRUE and AIS(3BBB) WiFi costs 100 baht per month if available where you live.
