Rimmer Posted May 28, 2012 Share Posted May 28, 2012 Police shoot dead armed robbery suspect during chase in North Pattaya PATTAYA:--A suspect wanted in relation to an armed robbery was shot dead by Police late on Saturday Night. Police Colonel Somnook, the Banglamung Police Chief was contacted and oversaw the aftermath of the shooting which took place in a remote road in the Takiendier area in Banglamung. The alleged armed robbery took place close-by and the female victims, Khun Bai aged 50 and Khun Somjit aged 45 had contacted Police after they were robbed at gunpoint in the street by two men on a motorbike. Police were able to catch up with the suspects who were chased for a time until they u-turned and the passenger on the bike produced a gun and shot three times in the direction of the Police. Police Senior Sergeant Major Jarong was the officer who fired back and required only one shot to permanently disable the shooter who was carrying no ID and remains unidentified at this time. The bike driver was able to escape into the night and remains at-large.
