May 28, 201214 yr Hello everyone, a brief question. I am visiting Thailand for two months in a few weeks. I understand that, as a visitor from the UK, I am entitled to the first 30 days of my visit without needing a visa. Is this correct? Also, as I will be there longer than 30 days I will need to get one for the remaining time. Is this easy to do once inside Thailand, or is it easier to get a 90 day tourist visa before I arrive? Thanks Chris
May 28, 201214 yr The immigration requirements for UK nationals travelling to Thailand are that they are in possession of either a valid visa or an airline ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival. Without either you may be denied boarding by the airline. Since you plan to stay longer than 30 days, suggest you obtain a tourist visa before you travel. Single entry will give you 60 days, and can be extended for a further 30 days at Thai immigration, if required. Honorary consulates usually turn round visa applications in a few days by post.
