Kan Win
Hi davejbee, The nearest place would be Cha-Am - Hua Hin. By the way, where are you going to fish in Ratchaburi? Win

Kan Win
Hi davejbee, Thank you for the name, shame there is no map on their web-page. So as I mentioned, Cha-Am cheaper than Hua Hin, but very little night life in Cha Am, I Iike it. As for Also how much it would cost to get to Bangkok from where we stay and what would be the best form of transport to do so Mini Buses run from Hua Hin not too much 150-300 baht ? Have a look in the Cha-Am Hua Hin forum on this site. http://www.thaivisa....n-cha-am-forum/ Hope this has help you along and have a great fishing trip Win Edited June 5, 2012 by Kan Win
tig28
Hi davejbee, It is dependent on where in BKK you wish to stay -- but this is my favorite boutique hotel -- http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293916-d1122382-Reviews-Baan_Sukhumvit_Inn_Soi_18-Bangkok.html
PattayaPhom
Is the OP aware that Ratburi isnt a beach resort? As mentioned, Cha am would be the nearest beach resort with any life and being low season probably best to go that bit further to Hua Hin.
Nowhereman60
Do you realize that Ratchaburi is not a beach town and you are about 120 km from Cha Am and 140 to Hua Hin? It's about 3 km from my home. Not much night life in Ratchaburi for farangs, you could go to the Cowboy Cafe not far from you one night.
