PM AFFIRMS HE CAN ALLEVIATE POVERTY AT 'AT SAMAT'

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said he is confident he can find ways to solve the poverty crisis at AT SAMAT (อาจสามารถ), ROIET (ร้อยเอ็ด) Province and to relieve the local residents' suffering.

The premier will leave <edit> for AT SAMAT from January 16-20th to examine the poverty-stricken province. He said he will come up with detailed measures to alleviate the sufferings inflicted upon the local residents.

The premier will knock on every door in the province so as to witness the reality. He will then find ways to improve the people's quality of life.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Visit every house in Roi-Et Province? That would be a reality I would like to witness.

How blessed are the people of Roi Et who lived in "poverty crisis" for centuries! Just in a week our vainglorious PM will teach them how to allevieate the sufferings afflicted on them for the past five years by his government, I suppose.

Then it will be just 75 more provinces to go and voila - no poverty in Thailand by 2009.

Pity he didin't do it five years ago when he was first elected. What was he thinking then?

It's also comforting to know that our PM can spend a week swatting mosquitoes while the country goes on. Who knows, maybe he should make a permanent move.

And there is a separate thread on what else makes Thailand a third world country.

And lo the Lord Thaksin was among his people in Roi Et and they were blessed. He gave unto them mobiles and he changed water into whisky and said unto them "Go forth and multiply. Thou shalt have Isuzus and thy fields will be as fertile as your women. You will be granted by me, the great giver of all things wise and wonderful, the power to feed yourselves and pay your monthly phone bills and feed your animals and trucks.

Your daughters shall go forth unto the great city on the river and to the holy places of Pattaya and Patong and they will entertain the foreigner and send you great riches from the labors of their loins. And thus he moved forth across the face of Isaan with his dessicated band of disciples.

And it was good. And the simple folk were much amazed at his great wealth, his power and glory :o .

The Lord Thaksin and his disciples of TRT.
