Answer-nobody knows and as grammy doesnt have operaters to take your call you cant ask them..admittedly i do have thai tv to watch the Euros but was under the illusion i would get English commentary....Think me and other falangs have been lead on a wild goose chase..i will watch the games free now in engish commentary on Paddy Powers site on my laptop, the last few days have been a mare!!!!! george Posted June 8, 2012 Author Share Posted June 8, 2012 EURO 2012 Pending talks with GMM Z BANGKOK: -- TrueVisions' subscribers will have to deal with blank screens until Monday or Tuesday, as talks with GMM Z Co Ltd, the authorised broadcaster of Euro 2012 in Thailand, are not finalised yet, the company announced. "TrueVisions is to apologise to subscribers for the absence of Euro 2012 signal, as TV operators refused to transmit the signal. Still, TrueVisions will continue with its attempt to negotiate with the rights holder for the sake of all subscribers. This should be finalised on Monday or Tuesday," it said in a statement released at around 8pm. Chiefs of TrueVisions and GMM Z Co Ltd in the evening were in talks over the broadcasting of Euro 2012 on TrueVisions network, according to a source close to the matter. The source then said that "good news" is expected. In a statement released in the afternoon, GMM Z blamed TrueVisions’ slowness in settling the dispute over the broadcasting, for the blank screens that TrueVisions subscribers would suffer during the 1-month-long tournament. Thana Thienachariya, chief executive officer of GMM Z - a subsidiary of GMM Grammy and the authorised broadcaster of the tournament, said that the company contacted TrueVisions to sell the sub-broadcasting rights in December but there was no action. "TrueVisions, as a provider of international contents in return for subscription fee, has to buy copyrighted items for the broadcasting. However, it asked GMM Z to unlock the signal for its subscribers (for free of charge). That’s impossible. It’s certainly that during the broadcasting time slots for the matches, TrueVisions’ screens would turn blank," he said in the statement released today. He noted that it is vital that the subscribers had GMM Z’s set-top box for the viewing, to ensure that no broadcasting signal is released beyond the Kingdom’s border. This is in line with the UEFA’s broadcasting condition. In addition to viewing the matches through antenna on ThaiTV3, TV5 and Modernine TV via conventional antennas, viewers can watch the tournament via authorised cable and satellite TV operators such as Cable Thai Holding's network; DTV satellite TV sets and GMM Z set-top boxes. They can also watch the matches on AIS-networked smartphones. GMM Z estimated that the singals would reach 17-18 million households nationwide, or over 80 per cent. Still, Thana said that GMM Z is ready to forge business cooperation with True Visions through the broadcasting of world-class sports tournaments and entertainment programmes.He said that GMM Z’s parts in bidding for the broadcasting rights of such event would indeed reduce TrueVisions’ operating cost. A press statement from TrueVisions said the free-to-air channels have signed contract with GMM Grammy not to allow subscription TV operators to relay the matches broadcast via their channels. The press statement said TrueVisions was still trying negotiate with GMM Grammy to allow it to rebroadcast Euro 2012 matches as broadcast by the free-to-air TVs. You have to join a VPN in the UK to access the betting sites. About 5 quid a month. All the games can be viewed via this free TOR software http://www.techtutorialchannel.net/?s=tv+abroad. I'm currently using it with no buffering to catch up with MotoGP and the Isle of Man TT You can access the BBC-iplayers, ITV iplayers and a few others including SKY. I'm in no way connected to the software and have shared this information over on the bike forum for others to catch up with the MotoGP action. Assuming that menu is in Thai with EPG on top: Scroll down to 4th item (or 2nd item from bottom) and press OK Press on 3rd item and press OK Press on 3rd item and press OK Scroll down to 3rd item below 0% and press < or > on remote and press OK. Cheers Wes I can't see how this is a legal solution. Do you have the legal rights to UK TV in Thailand? Do you have an agreement in place with BBC and the other channels you rebroadcast? I know for sure that the online rights to Euro 2012 were sold specifically to only be allowed for a certain geographic area. I like your idea and I would sign up for it if it were legal but I can not see how you can provide your service legally. teah a bit strange they are aloud to be sponsors on here when they are suppling an illegal service normally we are not even allowed to discuss this stuff on here,good service though very similia to the other uktv which ended up having problems and had to shut down ,shame my internet connection isnt quick enough to use it and as others have said if my connection was quick enough i could get it for free from internet anyway......
