I asked for a cup with ice from the very curt and disinterested staff, but was told they don't have cups or sell fountain drinks at all despite the fountain drink machine sitting there. I guess theft became such an issue they did away with it, yet this sign remained. In front of Patong police station today. I like the people partying in the corner of the banner. lol
September 27, 201213 yr Thai's use the same word for "bag" as they do for "condom" determined by context. So I am told this sign, when you apply the context of it sitting next to a shelf of condoms reads: "In order to reduce global warming, could you please not use a condom?"
September 28, 201213 yr "Do not dangle any doll" - you have to wonder if they use Google translate for these signs I think that the Thai means "do not swing/hang on statues" I guess that the sign is outside a temple and they don't want people clambering over the Buddha statues.

Looks like they could have used Google Translate which I have found to be hopeless,I use Thai to English now if I have to.
