seeker108
Just moved into a new apartment with huge outdoor balcony (75 m2) and sitting in the lap of Doi Suthep. I want to put up 2 retractable awnings so as to be able to use the space in rain or intense sun. They would measure 6m x 4m and 4m x 4m. Any suggestions on where to buy the awning material or of a company that would do the installation for a reasonable price? Thanks all.
seeker108
Also if anyone know which type of material will hold up best to constant UV exposure please let me know.
MrBrad
Here's a street-view look at Chiang Mai Tent and Canvas Company north of town a couple of miles. Might be worth a try. https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?hl=en&ll=18.841365,98.979966&spn=0.000553,0.002336&ctz=-420&t=h&layer=c&cbll=18.841365,98.979455&panoid=73PmXzBR3mZmGQgc4he6lg&cbp=11,176.95,,1,-4.97&z=

haybilly
Last time I had to get an awning--for a neighbour, actually,--I followed one of the pick-ups that drive around fitting the things and he did the job for the neighbour--4 years later awning is still over their back porch.
