Thai man fighting for his life after Jomtien Beach attack from so-called friend

PATTAYA:--A Thai man in his Thirties is currently fighting for his life in Hospital after he was struck over the head with a bottle and then sustained a deep laceration to his face during a fight with a so-called friend, on Jomtien Beach.

The incident occurred only meters away from the Dongtan Police Sub-Station in the early hours of Saturday and led to the arrest of the suspected attacker who remained at the scene, Khun Chai aged 35, who was heavily intoxicated and initially denied he was involved in the attack.

According to an independent witness, the victim and suspected attacker were part of a larger group who were sitting and drinking on the beach all night. A verbal altercation between both men began which was initially broken up by other members of the group, however the verbal attack turned physical when Khun Chai is alleged to have struck the victim over the head with the bottle. He is then believed to have picked-up a piece of the broken glass and struck the victim across the face.

alcohol and violence very often go hand in hand.

One thing though from personal experience, some Thai whisky does make me more aggressive,Especially the 10 baht shots, i think its called leaw dong or leaw khaow and gives a huge headache the next day
