hi guys just after some help im married to thai lady we have a little boy who is ten months old she has been to england on vistor visa we want to apply for settlement visa but i only do 30hrs a week i do get working tax credits and also i get child tax credit do this count as public funds im not claiming anything for my wife in all i get just over 300 per week my bills are around 200 do think we would be ok applying on these figues also my wife would get a job where i live there is a thai resurant that would employ her would this help in the applicantion and is she allow to work in the first two years many thanks

The prohibition on public funds applies to your wife, not you. You can claim any and all public funds to which you are entitled as long as you do not claim any extra because your wife is now living with you.

If she enters with a 27 month spouse visa then she can work immediately. If you are going to use this employment to help with the financial requirements in her visa application then you should get the restaurant to write a letter confirming that they will employ her, her hours and her pay.
