Songkran Murder suspects caught by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA:--Four men accused of being involved in a murder which occurred during the Pattaya Songkran Festival back in April, have been arrested by Pattaya Police.

Police Lieutenant General Panya, Region 2 Police Commissioner announced the arrest of Khun Maruk aged 24, Khun Tawatshai aged 20, Khun Chernchai aged 27 and Khun Niroot aged 23. A firearm was also recovered by Police who arrested the men in Udon Thani Province in the North-East of Thailand. They are accused of being part of a 10 man gang who killed Khun Tongkum aged 29 in front of the Smile Beer Bar on Pattaya Second Road, on 19th April.

He was struck with pieces of wood until he was dead and one of the assailants then shot into the air to ensure they could escape without any problems. All four men accepted being part of the gang responsible for the murder and were charged accordingly.
