How Many Double Entry Tourist Visas Can You Get Back To Back

Featured Replies

Hi, .

My bf's double entry tourist visa runs out in August after he extends the final leg for by 30 days at immigration.

Can he fly to Laos or other country and get another double entry tourist visa or will they not allow that as he has just finished one?

I heard you can get a back to back visa once then they just give you 30 days.

Another option is a non O visa as my dependent (I have a work permit and non B). We are not married but friends of ours went to Bangkok and got a certificate after proving they own a house together and have lived together for a long time, that they used for a non O dependent visa.

Does anybody know where we can do this. Everywhere I look states that you need a marriage certificate.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for your help.

As far as I'm aware you need to be married and i don't understand what that certificate would be.

A new double entry tourist visa might be possible in laos, but no guarantees.

You did not include the nationality of your boyfriend.

Non O seems unlikely, but Double Entry Tourist Visa should be possible from the Thai Embassy in Vientiane/Laos, provided he is from a western country.

He is British.

Do you know which countries will provide a second tourist visa?

Each Thai consulate interprets the "rules" differently...and they always have that clause which states something like..."the consualte has the right to require other documentation to be presented as they deem necessary".

Almost always a Non immigrant O visa based on marriage requires the marriage to be "de jure...(by law)",,,or a legal marriage.

In other words, non married applicants will very likely be rejected.

One person may be lucky and be approved...but most won't.

On the double entry back-to-back question....it is generally true that a 2nd double entry is relitively easy, a 3rd is tougher to get, and the 4th is usually the limit of their tolerance.

Beyond that point, it is almost impossible.

Savannaket, Laos is the current "easiest' place to try for such a visa....but there is no guarentee even there.

A chat with some of the visa "agents" outside the Thai consulate there may give you up to date information on the current situation.

The "best" place to get such a visa is fluid and changes, so you need to be flexible and adaptable.

You can get back-to-back tourist visas as long as the consulate where you apply does not suspect you of working illegally in Thailand. The notice below that is displayed in some consulates with identical text appears to be based on guidelines issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
