Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa also urged the immediate implementation of pending issues in this vital region of the world.

They were speaking as the Thai monarch received the Premier at his palace on Wahun Island.

They also discussed several international issues and emphasised the need for development policies to be encouraged to achieve security and stability in the world.

The Thai monarch also hailed the Premier's efforts in Bahrain's internationally-acclaimed prosperity and development. The growing bilateral relations were also reviewed.

The Premier was earlier received on arrival on Wahun Island by Thai Deputy Premier and Thai King's personal representative.
