Hi, I have some questions regarding this visa class and need some clarifications from anyone with experience. Thank you so much!

1) Since this visa is for 90 days each visit. Does this mean, I can make 4 border runs a year and enjoy a stay up to 90 X 4 = 360 days in Thailand a year?

2) What are the benefits or disadvantages of this visa class versus the work permit apart from the fact that workers of the WP need not leave the country every 90 days?

3) Is there a minimum salary requirement for holders of this visa class?

4) Is a holder of this visa class eligible to apply for Thai PR after the 3 year period has ended?

5) It appears this visa class is rather costly at 10K baht but documentation wise is more relaxed as points 4-9 are to be submitted upon request only?

6) Any reason why someone will apply for this visa class versus a work permit?

7) Timeline for approval on this visa class?

8) Do I need to pay taxes in Thailand on this visa class assuming I stay 360 days a year on different scenarios:

a) My pay is partially paid in Thailand and the remainder in my country of origin

b ) My pay is fully paid in my country of origin

c) My pay is fully paid in Thailand

8) Since this is a business visa, I assume I can work in Thailand but to what extend? Am I able to carry out duties equivalent to that of a work permit holder?

The 3 year non-B visa is for business people only, who need to make frequent travels to Thailand. It is not for people working in Thailand, and i doubt a work permit will be issued on it. Extensions of stay will not be issued on it.

You seem to be wanting one for working in Thailand, not for business trips so do not qualify.

A non-B visa does not negate the requirement for a work permit. You must have the right visa entry AND a work permit to be able to work in Thaland.

They used to issue these occasionally at Royal Thai Consulate in Penang - see attached image. Visa issued 24 March 2005, valid through 23 March 2008. This visa was issued to Swedish applicant who simply asked for a multiple-entry visa.

I was looking the other day, it would appear there is 5 places in the world that do still issue this type of Visa... you cannot work with this Visa, cannot get a work permit, cannot get any extension in Thailand when ended, not 100% clear but also looks to be 'IB' class visa ? Appears to be used for someone looking to Invest in a Business in Thailand.?

I found all the info, ALL dated this year 2012 by using Google search, also Companies and Law Firms in Thailand that help with this type of visa, + looking at Thai Embassy websites around the world.
