Ed Visa - Can I Join Japansese Program At My Gf School?

Featured Replies

I have been staying in Bangkok for 2 months with my girlfriend, she is half Thai half USA, and she works at a government school, teaching englidh.

The school has an English, French and Japanese language program there but is not an international school Would i be able to apply to join a program and obtain a ED visa or does it have to be a language school and i would have to apply outside Thailand if this is the case?

thanks Jack

For an ED-visa youhave to apply in a neighbouring country.

You are not limited to study at a language school, as long as the institution is recognised by the Ministry of Education.

Of course it would be strange to have an adult joining a secondary school for study.

My dreams are dashed

You can apply for the ED-visa at immigration in Bangkok as long as your current visa or stamp on arrival is valid for, at least, another 21 days (or 11 days is what they told me, but officially it is 21 days).
