How Soon Can You Swim In A Saltwater Pool Once The Water Has Been Added?

Featured Replies

A friend of mine has a salt pool built by the same company, and he says he could swim as soon as they had filled it.

But our pool builder has told us that this afternoon when they add the salt (The pool was just filled this morning by tankers of water), that I must wait 24 hrs before I am able to swim.

They are both the same system, so I'd like to ask everyone here what their experience is.

After an 8 week build, Im keen to take a dip! hehe.

Thanks

I would wait a few days.

It takes a while to get the water chemistry ok, plus your chlorinator needs to build up the chlorine level to get the water properly disinfected...

Also depends on the water they initially put in...
