I don't know how many times, if ever, that this has been suggested but, after reading a thread discussing a border run to Mae Sai I thought that a bulletin board of sorts could be set up here in TV to facilitate putting together travelers to places like Mae Sai and Vientiane. The thread in question had several members who need to do their Mae Sai border run and are hooking up to share expenses and travel arrangements. As anyone who has taken either trip via mini-bus will attest, our lives are put at risk with by the fine young fellows who do the driving. With that in mind, is anyone traveling to Vientiane in the second week of July? Four people in a car, shared driving etc. could work (maybe) cost and safety wise.

That's a great idea. I know I will be looking to make a visa run around the end of next January myself and will be inquiring around that time for anyone possibly making a run.

It would probably catch on if it had a moderator to delete posts after the date for going is past. That way you would probably only have one page rather than a endless number of useless posts.
