One action doesn't suddenly change the actions that have been taking place for years.

The return of the roi sip-et might have some bearing on how things pan out from August 1st. They certainly won't want to jump back into politics only to be turfed out on their ears for crimes offensive to the constitution.

There is also a possibility that they don't like the red direction that the born-again and again TRT has wandered down.

I can feel a new party in the making, followed by house dissolution and new elections.

This scenario is where all the smart money is heading

Interesting for sure!

Sonthi will not withdraw reconciliation bill - for now

Sonthi said he regarded that his bill would not cause political conflicts.

That last line gives a window on how the man thinks. For starters, all three bills are nearly identical. Any of the three, if passed, would enable T to return without facing the concequences of his mis-deeds, and quite possibly put 46 billion (plus %?) in to his overseas bank accounts.

Looking at the past month's shenanigans, one can draw a conclusion regarding the 'reconciliation bills.'

>>>> If they're on the agenda, there will be street protests and other problems.

>>>> if the bills are off the agenda, things will be relatively ok.

Sonthi is dead wrong if he said his bill would not cause political conflicts. The opposite is true.

He's also a principal beneficiary of his own bill......

Funny how in the interim now, the Red Shirt Leaders have come out in support of House Speaker request to delay the reconciliation bills.

Indicted Red Shirt Leader Out On Bail and Pheu Thai Party MP Korkaew is now telling the Red Shirts to calm down, be patient, and wait.

He said that it may be later this year, or even next year, before the reconciliation bills would be resubmitted for consideration.

Indicted Red Shirt Leader Out On Bail and Pheu Thai Party MP and Deputy Agriculture Minister Natthawut said now that delay in the reconciliation bills was not a big issue for the Red Shirts.

For once, a PT leader said something that makes a bit of sense. I too believe that dropping the stupid 'reconciliation' bills won't rile up Red anger. What makes Reds angry (and they're quick to anger about many things) is whenever they see Yellows gaining ground.

If sleeping dogs are left to lie, then Red folks tend to go back to their regular activities - manning mom & pop shops, tending to rice fields, drinking moonshine, etc.

Speaking of 'sleeping dog lying' .....what's the latest on Mr. "I'm Through With Politics" ? Hopefully, he's just playing golf or snoozing in Dubai, after a big meal of fried grasshoppers in a soup of congealed pig's blood (nothing like home cooking, yumm!).

And then:

Imagine if you had a big family. And one of your teenage sons was like Nuttawat. Anytime he didn't get his way, he would start shouting something like; "If you don't do what I want, or I will go in the kitchen and break all the dishes!"

Wallop Supariyasilp, the Party Leader of the Pheu Dharma Party, today offered all Pheu Thai Party MP's the opportunity to join his Party if the Pheu Thai Party gets banned and said he would welcome them with open arms.

He did qualify his statements by saying that any Pheu Thai Party MP would have to accept the Pheu Dharma Party's ideology if they were to join it.

AFAIK, the Pheu Dharma Party does not have any MP's of its own.
