July 1, 201214 yr Recently my flight from Australia with Scoot Air was 6 hours late, so I missed my connection in Singapore. I had left a 3 hour gap, but missed my Tiger Air flight to BKK. Of course Tiger kept my money and I had to buy another ticket. This irritates me, as the breakdown was not for the flight only: Total Price SGD 146.50 Fare 90.00 Passenger Security Service Charge 8.00 Aviation Levy 2.20 Passenger Service Charge 7.80 Service Fees (including taxes) 31.00 Insurance Paid SGD 7.50 Should they be able to keep the money for the various other things ? I hate the way big companies like this walk over the little guy...
July 1, 201214 yr Sympathies, Air Asia cancelled my flight to CM three days before I was scheduled to fly so I asked for a refund, they said, "we need a copy of your bankbook to deposit the money into and then we'll refund in forty five days" - but you cancelled the flight not me, I said, tough sh*t they effectively told me, it's company policy!
July 1, 201214 yr No they shouldn't, but that would be up to them I suppose. Anyway, your travel insurance might be of help..
July 1, 201214 yr Tiger Airways is a budget airlines...i am sure when you make bookings you are aware of the terms and conditions....Tiger did not keep your money, if you do not show up for a scheduled flight you are considered a no-show and it is not the fault of the airline....even if you travel by others full-servicce airlines it the same.. Likewise if you paid for a movie ticket and did not show up for the show, do you think they would refund you...555555 Edited July 1, 201214 yr by chuang
July 1, 201214 yr Author I had travel insurance for this flight only ; not the first one which caused me to be late. I do not have travel insurance generally. My point is that only $90 is for the flight. The other money was being held in lieu for: Passenger Security Service Charge 8.00 Aviation Levy 2.20 Passenger Service Charge 7.80 Service Fees (including taxes) 31.00 Insurance Paid SGD 7.50 As this money is being held in lieu, shouldn't it be refunded to me ?
