riki48
Hi All I have 2 uk passports, one will expire in another 5 months and contains my Multi O visa valid until 22nd August this year, the other has just arrived from hong kong. Earlier today i went to immigration thinking I could get them to move the Multi O visa ( the full page visa that is) over into my new passport but they said they cannot do this. I will be leaving Thailand for 2 weeks at the end of this month ( going back UK). So I'm wondering if I will have a problem when coming back around 19th August and entering on the Multi O... As in I will have an '' expired passport'' with valid Multi O... I will then look at obtaining an E/D visa in the 3 months I am granted... Just trying to get it right and have peace of mind.. lopburi3
A visa can never be transferred. On exit you will use both passports and to use the visa for new entry you will show it and be stamped in on the new (valid) passport. Routine procedure. NHJ
if you're in the UK grab another multi entry!
lopburi3
I suspect he can not qualify for a multi entry visa in UK if he intends to obtain a non immigrant ED visa after return and use of last 90 day entry from current visa.
1huahin
just use both passports we had no problem doing this - you will be taken aside though and notes entered into your new passport when you leave Thailand for the first time after this all is OK.
lopburi3
That is the normal transfer process that used to have to be done at an immigration prior to departure - which now, for those on visa entry, is done at departure saving everyone time.
