New Uk Visa Requirements

Featured Replies

I see that the new UK settlement Visa requirements came in on Monday. My MP told me that this would not come in until after it was debated in Parliament. The new VAF4A is a nightmare. I am struggling with it. The UK Borders agency don't seem to understand the difference between employed and self amployed as defined by HMRC so I am unclear if I am an employee or self employed. It fails to make it clear which sections of Appendix 2 to complete and which section to go to after you have completed the section about earnings.

What is your question?

Are you registered with Inland Revenue as self-employed? if you are, you are self-employed.

If you are not registered with them as self-employed you either should be or are not. I have not studied the new form but I assume the UKBA will use the same rules as HM Revenue & Customs.

I have looked at it now. What a nightmare!

You fill in all of it unless applying as a child of someone with limited leave!
