Rimmer Posted July 16, 2012 Share Posted July 16, 2012 90,000 Baht theft from Bar in Central Pattaya caught-on-tape PATTAYA:--Police are hunting for a Thai Woman who was caught on CCTV allegedly stealing money from a cash box at a Bar in Soi Beokeow. Police were called to the Hollander Guest House on Sunday afternoon by the owner, Khun Supapganyar aged 52 who showed us CCTV footage of the suspect who reportedly distracted the owner by informing her that a water hose inside the toilet was broken. The owner went to look at the problem and when she returned to the bar the woman had disappeared as had 90,000 Baht in cash from behind the bar. The suspect arrived on a Black Honda Click motorbike with the license plate number 755 issued here in Chonburi Province and is thought to be aged in her late thirties. Rimmer Posted July 19, 2012 Author Share Posted July 19, 2012 UPDATE Suspect arrested in recent Central Pattaya Beer Bar Robbery PATTAYA:--The woman accused of stealing money from a bar in Soi Boekeow on Sunday has now been arrested. Police Major General Jamnong, Provincial Police Commander held a press conference at Pattaya Police Station on Wednesday to announce the arrest of Khun Orawan aged 35. She was tracked-down to the Nasa Orchid Apartments in South Pattaya. A raid of her room uncovered the stolen money along with other items taken from a bag at the bar, including a British Passport in the name of Mr. Paul Andrew Denham, foreign and Thai ATM and credit cards along with a gold necklace. Some of the stolen money had been spent by the victim who confessed to buying drugs which were also found in the room. The motorbike she used on the day of the robbery was a rented bike which allowed Police to track-down the suspect.
