Just be aware that a scammer is using Thai Visa Chiang Mai property classified ads to contact people by pretending interest in your property and then asking for more information.

At this point it appears legit then of course you email the additional info he then has your email address and information related to your property which he uses in reply.

The subsequent EMAIL response is fairly obviously a scam in the Nigerian mold but some people do get caught so be aware and the clever use of the TV classifieds is a smart initial contact.

Perhaps the powers that be can use the info I provided (If they still have it) to post an all forum warning if it is considered of benefit to TV members particularly as it is TV classifieds that is being used to initiate the scam?

Anyone who places classifieds in any media always has to be alert to 'unusual' responses. That the problem with publishing your email address and one of the reasons that Thaivisa does not allow email addresses in posts.
