Want To Buy Cheap Men'S Suit In Bangkok

I know I will get slagged for this thread, so here goes.

I accepted an invitation from a European company to a function in Bangkok this Friday 27 July. I have dealt with this company for several years but never attended one of their functions before and thought it would be nice to meet people I know but never seen.

The email that arrived a couple of weeks ago stated that their functions were normally black tie but due to the tropical climate in Thailand they would make an exception and lounge suits with no tie would be acceptable.

I live in Ubon Ratchathani, have booked flights and hotel for myself and wife to attend the function long before the email appeared regarding dress code.

My dilemma is, I have not worn a suit for many, many years and will probably never wear one again for many, many years.

I would just like something cheap, not necessarily nasty. I have looked around Ubon but not seen anything reasonable.

I know Bangkok is crawling with suit shops, but at what price. Just off the peg is all I want. A price of a few thousand baht is OK.

Does anyone have any suggestions where to go in central Bangkok for the threads required?

I can jump off the plane Friday morning and go and make a purchase.

MBK Ground floor, there are a few good and cheap places there, cannot remember the name of the one I used a long time ago, but was quite cheap.

Maybe you can rent one, a few places do rent them out, like wedding shops.
