Swedish couple caught up in Central Pattaya Necklace Snatch

PATTAYA:--A Swedish couple reported the theft of a Gold Necklace reportedly worth over 900,000 Baht at Pattaya Police Station on Tuesday morning.

Mr. Micke Nylander aged 46 and his partner Miss Giselar Solar aged 48 reported the necklace snatch which occurred in front of the Universal Gym located on the Sukhumvit Road in Central Pattaya.

Miss Giselar explained that the pair stopped their motorbike in front of the gym so she could take a picture with a model of a muscular man, situated outside on the road. After she returned to her motorbike after posing for the picture, two men, who were part of a gang of 8 people on 5 motorbikes, approached and snatched the necklace from around her neck.

A nearby motorbike taxi driver, Khun Sugit aged 43, saw the incident and attempted to give chase but he was blocked by a further motorbike and threatened with his life.
