That certainly would be a miracle in Thailand, worthy of the TAT campaign slogan... "Amazing Thailand", let's not hold our breath... Indeed. The record of law courts being allowed to conduct the legal process objectively according to law, and without pressure, undue influence, and intimidation, is not a good one. There is huge pressure to be forced into some alignment. People are being accused of being red or yellow, when they are not aligned with either. I think the majority (IMHO) of the population would prefer to be non-aligned, and for government to get on with governing for the welfare of all. Again I have to agree with you, trying to remain impartial is becoming near impossible, especially for the Thai populace. Any comment is attributed a "side" and frank discussion has long since descended into petty bickering, each and every issue becoming a case of taking a red or yellow stance. It's ridiculous, blind loyalty above substance. I firmly agree that most Thais would prefer to remain neutral but are increasingly being forced to show deference to one or the other. If Abhisit can prove that his reputation has been damaged by Jatuporn's public comments then it looks like a stripy suntan for Jatuporn if the last few defamation cases are anything to go by. Did not see this in the Nation News Now watch as the exact same people who have been arguing for however many years that Thaksin's conviction was unjust and politically motivated - in spite of the fact that his own party was in power - now come forward to express satisfaction at justice prevailing in what was of course a completely non-politically motivated case against Abhisit made by a committee set up by Thaksin's cohorts. In a normal world yes. But it seems that most Thaksin supporters give more credibility to a judgment from their own PT clan then from a court. In a normal world yes. But it seems that most Thaksin supporters give more credibility to a judgment from their own PT clan then from a court. But we knew that already. The usual leap of logic that acknowledging any flaw on the part of the Democrat party is a show of support for Thaksin. Does every topic have to be a platform for you to vent about Thaksin?
