House For Rent And Internet Connection

Hello everyone,

we're 3 persons from Turkey who are all working on line and our business has become manageable totally on the internet, so we don't need to be anywhere specific on earth to do what we need to do, so we've decided to move to koh samui. We'll be there by the 21st of February but we need a few things before we do.

first, we need a home or two. we're three and my other two friends are married so the best configuration for us is two houses which are on the same property. About the price, we're thinking around the lines of 500$ [20.000 baht] for each house. But if we can not find something to our liking this way, we're ok with one big house that all of us can have our spaces for 1000$ [40.000 baht]. We want the house to be on the beach front but if that is not possible, we can discuss other possibilities too.

second, we need a fast and reliable internet connection. at least 512kbps but we prefer -if possible- something like 1 or 2 mbps better. we found some isp's out there but, of course, no one gives "true" information about their reliability on their own web pages, so a few "insider" opinion can be great about this.

we searched every resource we could find on the internet to be able to set these up from where we are right now, but that does not seem very possible at the moment. so we need someone to help us out out there, someone who can find us houses and set our internet connection up before we get there. we'll be there by the 21st and we need to be ready by the 28th, we have a week to set things up but we don't want to risk it so if possible, we want everything to be set up when we get there.

does anybody know someone who can help us out as a professional helper? someone who'll set up everything for us if we agree on a fee? we tried to contact a few corporations but they're trying to boost the prices of everything, and then charge some extra *service fee*..

we need someone who'll give us the "true" prices of everything we need, who'll set things up. we need someone who'll "help us out", someone who doesn't just try to take as much money as he can from us. we're not trying to be mean we just want to know the "real" thing out there.

can't really help you there but if you go to tesco lotus you will find agents for the ISPs who can get you set up.

I have ADSL, works 90% of the time. The network around the island is not completed ,so there is some problems.

As for properties,I have passed a place today called Samui Luxury rentals. I will try & find some info for you.

Re internet if you ever get caught out at home you can always fall back onto the IT centre.
