whistleblower
Hi We operate a company here in Thailand but also have an office in California. We wish to send one of our female office workers to the US office for 6-9 months for a specific project. Does anyone know what type of visa she would require, how long it will take etc and is there a sample letter flying around that we, as the employer have to send to the US embassy in Bangkok? Any help greatly appreciated
Shot
It depends on the type of work, but try this for starters. http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1275.html
Thanyaburi Mac
Looks to me like she'd need an "H" visa: http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/niv_visa_classification.html And, as already posted, info here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1271. Soutpeel
Be advised that these things can takea lot of time to get in place...I worked in the US Pre-9/11 on a H-1B visa and it took months to get sorted out, one would guess these days even longer
