I'm off to immigration tomorrow to get a visa stamp in my replacement passport presumably for 30 days and need to consider my options.

With no UK bank statements to show proof of income to the consulate because the statements are in the UK, I presume there is no option of getting a retirement visa based on income.

Savings are out because there is no seasoned bank account.

I do not want a 15 day stamp.

That seems to leave me with either paying a lot of money to travel to the UK to get a new multiple entry Non O aged over 50 showing income visa issued

or

getting Tourist visas.

If Tourist visas are my best option, where from Pattaya would be the best place to go to to get at least double tourist visas and how long is that liable to take and cost how much? And are there any reliable companies I could use - especially as I have never had to get a Tourist visa before.

Thanks for any input.

Immigration is not open tomorrow and will not be open until Monday the 6th. What is/was your current permitted to stay in old passport? If expires this weekend and you arrive Monday there will not be any overstay. But not sure how you expect to get a "30 day stamp" unless it is time to extend a tourist visa.

My destroyed passport had a

NON-IMMIGRANT VISA

Category “O”

Visiting Thailand as retired person aged 50 years and over and showing bank statement to prove income of over £900 per month. Issued Feb 2012.

Replacement passport arrived today.

edit

And thanks for the info on Immigration closed :)

Do you have copies of previous passport and visa? Do you have internet banking where you can download previous statements?

I do not know if this will assist but just an idea.

I can only d/l one bank statement as PDF.

No copies of PP.

I have details of visa but that cannot be replace, apparently.

Proof of income from abroad, print out a page from your bank account online, showing the 65,000 Bhat equivalent coming into the account, one month is sufficient. Some embassies do not require it. The U.S. does not, the Canadian does, to get the letter for immigration.

You were on a 90 day visa entry so that visa (if multi entry as seems likely) is lost with the passport. You will be stamped for what period of stay you originally had. You will have to exit Thailand to obtain new visa/entry when current stay expires.

Yes, multiple entry. Last entry from Cambodia 18th June. 90 days.

By what you say I could get stamped in until near Mid September. That gives me time to decide what to do about a new visa after that date.

They often ask you and check to be sure it is close to daily rate. Others will have a rate. So if close best to be sure to have a bank account open and copies of it to be sure you can also meet the 800k per year combination method if required.
