OZEMADE
Criminals hack into new secure credit cards. Chip technology was supposed to be the answer to card skimming, but it seems the bad guys are still one step ahead. They also use new wave technology skimmers. By walking past you they scan your wallet or handbag and get your card history. http://au.yahoo.com/s/427128
gk10002000
They won't skim mine. Every time my card company even tries to give me a card with a chip I cut it up. Citi card wanted to give me that little key ring size credit card. While I love the convenience and think it would be great to have, the security and safety risks are not worth it. sysardman
does the silver foil really work? Check it out in the microwave oven From what I understand of the video, they haven't hacked the cards but the card readers. Somebody once loaned me one of those RFID phones to test my new RFID passport and it was really tricky getting it to scan. You had to hold the phone really close and at a certain angle to get a read so I would say watch out for somebody getting too close and waving a small bag around. Same as you'd guard against a pickpocket I guess and keep the cards in a place someone would find difficult to get near to like a top inside pocket. By the way Ebay is rife with all these anti RFID wallets etc for those interested. Edited August 3, 2012 by sysardman
