How Much To Pay A Stay At Home Office Clerk?

Featured Replies

I want to have an employee doing repetitive office work for 6 hours per day from their home. Not sure how much to pay per 6 hours.

200 baht?

300 baht?

400 baht?

You'll get what you pay for - you may be lucky, but I doubt if you'll get a computer-literate decent clerk for 4,000 - 8,000 baht a month!

my friend employs two admin clerks, mon-fri, 9-5, hour for lunch, 8,000 a month

From their home will be the problem. Finding self motivating staff who don't prefer sleeping to working is hard! How will you manage them?

As a legal minimum it would be THB 225 per 6 hours...minimum wage is THB 300/day, which assumes an 8 hour work day.

To put that in perspective this would be for someone who is doing manual labour, and you are looking for someone who is computer literate, therefore the rate your paying needs to be higher....the THB 8k/m number sounds about right to me

.

What about work permits? If you're a Farang employing Thais, wouldn't you need to have a work permit? - just like a restaurant owner needs a permit.

.

If the office work requires internet, that costs 600 Baht a month, so you cant expect someone to work for 200 Baht a day....300 minimum, but again, pay peanuts...get monkeys.
