June 9, 200719 yr Just got back from New Rimping. Saw there was (for the 4th visit in 5 weeks) AGAIN no Mainland Vintage. So I spoke with the stock clerk. At first he said "out of stock, finished" but when I pointed out that I had direct reports (from Austhaied, thank you very much!) that the OTHER Rimping had it in stock, he said "Wait" and went off. Came back with a CASE of Vintage, God Bless him. I think they hold it back because it sells out fast, so they put up the "Tasty", "Edam", etc. Also there is a new product, a supposed vintage cheddar made in Thailand by Imperial. 250g package, 95 B. They might be trying to move that new product in preference to the Mainland Vintage, I'm sure they would have a better markup on the Thai cheese. Ah, the Glorious Cheese Wars....
June 9, 200719 yr Does one have to move to the 'burbs to enjoy a good, sharp crumbly white cheddar cheese? I should hope not......
