I recently received my WP. I just left to go to the UK on my NON B mulitiple entry visa. I Understood that the stamp on the last entry/exit was till 7 september. the visa expired 9th August. I was advised that all was ok and could extend my non b when i can back. JUst got back and immigration at Airport said no and I have a tourst visa for 30 days. What do I need to to do? is WP still Valid? Can i get new non B and then Extend? if so where? Also I did not have a re entry permit as I was told I did not need one.

Cheers.

You needed a re-entry permit to return and continue previous permitted to stay - immigration was correct as your visa had expired so could not be used for a new entry. I suspect the person telling you it was not needed did not know your plans to return after your multi entry visa expired? Work permit is still valid but you can not work until you obtain a non immigrant B visa entry. You can obtain from any nearby Thai Consulate with normal company paperwork and your work permit. If you intend to extend only a single 90 day entry will be required.

They are only located in other countries. Many go to Vientiane in Laos but your employer likely can advise better as they should know what paperwork a specific consulate will expect. If not it is best to contact the Consulate first to be sure you have everything or plan trip with contact in Thailand who can fax anything else that might be required.
