I think i made it quite clear i share your low opinion of JT. Simply an observation on how for you, and idiot like him, provides such a great platform for putting forth your anti-anglo, all things English (outside of Merseyside of course) are toxic, rhetoric.

it's only you seems to think me "anti-anglo" rix. i'm far from the belief that all things english, be they on merseyside or elsewhere, are anything like toxic. i'm essentially anti-<deleted>, anti-bullshit and anti-establishment. which is more than likely why i have so many problems with the FA and team england. because the entire set-up and most of the people involved with it stink. contrast that with team GB in the recent olympics and you'll find me with a far different view.

Many are not responding to what was said by Roy Hodgson but just want to batter John Terry. I do not like JT either however staying on the topic then Hodgson should keep his mouth shut and let the disciplinary action run its course. It is totally wrong for an England Manager to openly voice his thoughts on this matter and HE should now be facing the FA disciplinary committe for getting involved.

No problem with being critical of the English team, the English players, the England fans, it is the impression you give that i believe to be false, of the other nations in Europe and elsewhere, being somehow so much better, so much different. As if their players don't include over-paid, egotistical knobs, as if their fans don't wave flags and sing silly jingoistic songs, as if their FAs aren't full of old establishment corrupt dinosaurs. I just don't share your belief that England is so much worse than everywhere else, and feel the view that it is, is all part of the anti-England theme that has become so prevalent and fashionable today.

but again, that isn't my view though. you're assuming an awful lot. i was born and raised in england, i read english papers and listen to english football radio shows - that makes it a lot easier and more accessible to be critical of england's football setup and issues. you want to talk corruption at establishment level? ok we'll start with italy. jingoism and racism at football matches? let's start with russia and make our way through eastern europe. players who are over-paid, egotistical knobs? well notwithstanding that the king of all of them plays in madrid we could go to the middle east, china, russia, germany, spain. take your pick.

and i'm sorry but the "all part of the anti-England theme that has become so prevalent and fashionable today" line is the cry of the lesser-spotted daily mail reader. most of the shit england football gets it's earned and deserved, it's not bullying, it's more often than not not misplaced and it's certainly not fashionable. it just is what it is.

If you say so. Just an opinion based on what i have read in your 5,000 odd posts. Haven't just plucked it out of thin air.

And even easier when you don't consider yourself English and feel totally unconnected with large swathes of the country and its people.

As i say, it's not the England bashing i have a problem with, it's the misconception perpetuated that England is somehow unique or so much different.
