From the OP: " Ms. Jaruwan’s neck was almost cut off, and her body had more than 20 knife wounds."

From the linked article: "Police detained the suspect to test her urine for drugs. Ms. Pornsuda was initially charged with intent to kill other another person."

Amazing charge: "intend to kill"; she needed to cut her neck fully for the "intend" to be dropped? cheesy.gif

On another note, sad story indeed, drugs bad.....

A bargirl is dangerious enough by herself with out compertiton, so now when she is trying to take a falang they are much more savage!!!

Is it the falang fault?

is it the bargirl fault?

is it social fault?

is it poverty fault?

is it education?

everyone will have thier own answer,,,

be carful the falang who has a bargirl for a girlfriend, short time, long time, or married, What is the one thing that rings out???? ("behavoiur BARGIRL")

can I ask please?

why is it so hard for a man to find a normal lady??? or they prefure and just accept drammmma"s in your life and police with pay out money???????

What aload of garbage you have just wrote... Not all girls are like this killer and what is a normal girl??.

Yes you are correct not all are like this, but I did not say they are!!!say all are like this So what are you saying,Bargirls are not dangerous??? wake up and smell the roses, they take what they can any time they can they fight for customers they steal money credit cards etc, do you think they change if married? Possable but not to often, maybe a cinders chance in a snow storm???

OK then how about you lay down with dogs you wake up with fleas!!!

answer to your Q. what is normal? A. a normal girl is good, kind, polite, and working for thier money not what bar girls do, or is that a profession you would advise any woman, young lady or family member to enter into?

Actually Moore’ was a nice girl, a good girl and a girl who ‘worked hard’ and achieved more than a lot of her so called ‘customers’

She is intelligent and fun to be with and used to be a very happy go lucky kind of girl not so long ago.

One of the reasons she got herself into such a state is her ex French boyfriend, who abused her and ridiculed her and made her life a misery. He and his friends have a lot to answer for this. Sure the drink and drugs did not help and just accelerated her into a deep depression.

Before everyone who never even met her, just puts her down as another ‘killer whore’ – just remember when we go into these bars we are no better than the working girls and also remember the next time you drink too much get angry with someone and wish to harm them.

Terrible shame, 2 wasted lives ….

All I read when I come on here is crap "oh they are not all the same" absolute <deleted> they ALL have it in em

If you are talking about human beings in general, you might have a point, but Thais and Thai bargirls are not much different from anyone else. Some are good and some are bad and most are in between.

All I read when I come on here is crap "oh they are not all the same". Absolute <deleted>, they ALL have it in em they just have different tolerance levels and Drugs are drugs - you take em you take a chance and you know the likely outcome whether your a bargirl barfly or a barman same as becoming a bargirl.

They have a choice what do they think they are getting into what sort of people do they expect to meet with the salt of the earth I think not I made choices with my life I knew what I was getting into when i came to live here and I'm full of regret.

But I can't leave until I've sold up but I wish I'd of stayed put but I knew what I was getting into I just never expected to lose my family but deep down I knew there was a small chance that would happen so in many respects me or any of us ain't that different.

I think I have fixed what you were trying to say?

Good job thumbsup.gif (but still missing some punctuation) - maybe he was aiming for a Joycean stream of consciousness post ?

Come-on !!! reading what she is alleged to have done, I find your post very hard to believe.

And I'll reserve my compassion for the victim thank you very much - i.e. the girl that won't be waking-up this morning and won't be sitting in a police station with sunglasses on and smirk all over he face.

I also enjoy going to these bars, drinking and enjoying the company of the girls that work in them, but I have very little sympathy for anyone that butchers another human being - whatever the extenuating circumstances.

It must be a dream of every drug addict hooker to have a "boyfriend" from Columbia, seems to be more entertaining than a fat Freddy from Sweden or Austria.

Is that Columbia University where Obama attended or Columbia, Missouri or District of Columbia. There isn't a country named Columbia. Now I've lived in a country with a similar name, Colombia.:)

It's a common misspelling of the country's name and they don't like it down there

The yaba/ ice thing got bad when Thaksin cracked down on the drug trade with extra-judicial killing. The girls were doing ganja but with the crack down, ice was preferred because it was easily concealable and didn't have an odor. Another thing to thank dear Thaksin for. blink.png

The bar girls also smoke it to lose weight. Very important when you work in a go-go. tongue.png

I don't know about blaming the ex-boyfriend. As long as he did not hold a gun to her head or a knife against her throat... If he was abusing her and she stayed, is it his fault that she didn't remove herself from the situation? Same with any relationship - If you are getting dogged, mistreated, disrespected, walked on and you do not leave... That comes under not taking care of yourself.

Hi - yes you are right, it was an ugly incident.

what do you think makes a human being do such a things to someone else? they don't just wake up one day and decide to slash someone....... its the drugs/drink mixture...... probabally totally off her head and didnt even realise she had done it at the time.

life is a bit more complicated than simply she is good and she is bad.

This has to go down to a 'drug death', without the drugs this would have never have happened!

Sorry, I don't buy that - and I never mentioned she was bad - the point I made was I don't believe she is deserving of my compassion, or yours for that matter. I'll save mine for the slain girl's friends and family.

What I do take issue with is your description of her as a nice, good, hard-working girl as if that is somehow a mitigating factor in this awful crime.

I don't believe in the death penalty, but I do hope that if she is found guilty, she'll go away for a long-time. Nobody deserves to suffer as this victim probably did, during her last few minutes of life.

As a number of other posters have mentioned, I think this might be more about uncontrollable rage, than drugs.

A prostitute stabbing her prostitute friend more than 20 times over a Frenchie.

My goodness, poor girl who died, at the hand of this clearly disturbed woman.

She should be forced to visit a consultant herpetologist.

She cannot possibly deserve your compassion, because you didnt know her or her circumstances. she was a good hard working girl and she did achieve. But she has my compassion because i knew her and i know what she was going through.

True - thats not an excuse for the crime she apparently committed and she will pay for her sins with the best part of her life in Jail. its only obvious that an outsider should have compassion for the victim, i can understand that.

Yes a number of posters say all types of things, not much of it true.

she knew the other girl very well, they were so called friends, got high together, fought, argued and sadly it looks like one killed the other.

no she wasnt a bad girl at all...... and i met her plenty of times when she was not high to know her character well.....

Ice is a cocaine derivate (aka "Crystal Meth", look up the web for more horror stories)

"Boyfriend" was from Colombia. These black studs must have something, as so many Thai girls are smuggling drugs for them, hooking for them and now even killing for them.

No it is not, ICE is methamphetamine -- Hence calling it crystal meth

crack is cocaine.

That both of these girls worked at a bar in Soi Cowboy is irrelevant and totally sensationalist. They could have just as easily have worked at Lotus or Robinsons.

Also have to wonder that this is being reported from the Pattaya News and not some Bangkok source?

Bizarre Thailand... indeed.

yes, and then the news article would have reported that they worked worked at Lotus or Robinsons.

see how it works?

So, did this occur at LA Tower Mansion, near Ratchada soi 17? It just says LA mansion in the report. I used to have a couple of friends in that area.

It is a sad turn of events. My condolences to any family or friends hurt by this tragedy.

Some good info here on the forum. I've learned the difference between ice, jabaa, crack, coke, chrystal meth, methamphetamine.... and all this in a topic that started with a murder/killing. rolleyes.gif

Well well well.. Yet another post deleted by Mods... It was a valid point... Drugs are ILLEGAL in Thailand so why are they being discussed on your site? HYPOCRITES...

Er yes, so is prostitution. Taking both these topics away would certainly harm TV forums' activity.

On the other hand, there's no law that prohibits discussing these AFAIK, whereas there are laws against discussing some other specific topics. One could regret this, I do, but that's a fact of life TV operators who value their business have to do with.

I was getting really concerned. 7 pages of posts and no one had found a way to vent his hatred against Thaksin, finding him responsible for this in a way or another.

It seems that making him the cause for all the evils of the current Thai society is TV posters' most shared obsession.

and he couldn't be much more wrong, ecstasy and yaaba were falling from the skies before the crackdown and cocaine went on the rise when these became hard to source. Yaabba came back but ecstasy never really did.

Ice is terrible sh!t.

Bar girls using drugs, not controlling their tempers, and arguing over a guy. Not one surprising thing here. Learn some self control

And if someone gets slashed to death by a drunkard, isn't it also a drug-related?

The 'holier-than-thou' crowd are making hay with the terms 'bar-girl' and 'drug' in the title. Yet alcohol fueled slashings outnumber other drug-induced slashings any day or night of the week.

As for 'bar girl' label. It's easy to typecast, but slashings can be done by people who do all types of jobs. There are bar-girls who are well-adjusted and pleasant, and there are those who are hot tempered and erratic. Incidentally, most Thai visa fellows who are married to Thais, probably met the gals in bars - though few would deign to admit it.

Seems strange, you talk to other like they shouldn't type cast, and you do the same in the end of your statement with "most Thai Visa followers who are married to Thais, probably met the gals in bars...". I'm sure there's a lot who didn't as well.

The point is in certain professions, certain personality types are more attracted to it. I haven't met many PhD's working in bars. Fact is, there's a higher percentage of people with no self control frequenting and working in these places.

You can always point out acceptions to rules, it's not hard to do that, but stereotypes exist partially based on fact, partially based on opinions. I'm sure more people here have been saved from bad experiences by listening to stereotypes of bar girls than by ignoring them.

Another reason there are more alcohol related deaths is because of the ratio. More people drink, period. More people drinking, the more incidents related to alcohol there will be. Not a surprise that alcohol fueled incidents outnumber drug ones.
