Vientiane/Phnom Penh Tourist Visas?

Hi all

Just wanted to know the climate on TR visas in either place. I've got one this year from PP any problems getting one from either for another? ive got 6 tr over the past 2.5 years VT would be cheaper from chiang mai but i just want to make sure i get one. PP i know i can get one but 4 nights is alittle rough with my schedule.

Any advice?

You might be better trying Savannakhet. Vientiane may not issue any visa and PP can still be a long wait.

I would agree with Lopburi, but it is all a total crapshoot from here on in. Even reports (incl myself) of hassles in home countries now. Pick one and good luck!

Savanekhet is way easy, but with the no. of visas You have had it may be wise to get a new passport.

In December 2006 just before the new year, I easily obtained one overnight, but OK I'm not here on perennial tourist visas either. In general, I have only applied for a TR visa when I knew I would be spending more than 30 days in Thailand during my holidays. In 2008 I started working in Thailand on a non-imm B visa and received a work permit for this too. I think the OP should be OK with applying for another tourist visa in Vientiane or any other regional city, but he should try to limit the number of times he applies using the same passport as one person has suggested. Perhaps a TR visa (double or triple entries, if available) from his country or another western country would be the way to go here.

Because they have had a policy of not issuing any more tourist visas if they count five in your passport and it appears the poster has more than that.
