Why was a car licence available to you without testing?

My UK licence was sufficient proof that I could drive and so did not need to do the test

Same here.

When was this? Did you need the paper counterpart?

I would take both parts if you have them, and be aware that they will still test you for color blindness,peripheral vision and reaction times

but you won't have to do the multiple choice writen ( computer ) test or the actual practical driving test.

Is it possible to obtain a DL with a Tourist Entry? Once i called the DLT and they told me, no way with Tourist Visa. Sometime i hear story's were Tourist got a DL. I own a International DL for Car and Motorcycle. So...possible or not?

I am on my third one year licence all had with Visa Waiver stamps - all from the DLT centre at Regents. So should be yes......thumbsup.gif
