I've come to you in the past for information and am seeking your assistance again, ladies and gentlemen...

A friend is coming to Bangkok in three weeks and is interested in getting "amped" on the popular soundtracks at many of the Sukhumvit local watering holes.

Having spent over a month in Bangkok recently, my foggy recollection of the songs they played was spotty. (For your information, he is in his early 30s and will be frequenting such spots as Soi 3, Soi 4, Soi 11, and many of the other Sukhumvit area bars that play contemporary dance music).

Here is what I can recall as the popular songs at these establishments:

"Starships" by Nicki Minaj

"Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga

"Call Me Maybe" by _________ Jepsen

"What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction

Can you help compile a list of some of the other songs that you have been hearing at such places as Club Climax, Club Insomnia, the Hillary Bars on Soi 4, Liquid Lounge, and others in this area? It seemed to me that a common soundtrack was being looped at most of these establishments. (Although I heard the same songs over and over again down in Pattaya).

I guess most of the members of this forum are hanging out at Morning-Night at the top of Soi 4 getting jacked by a bunch of 43-year-old bar geezers named Oi or Pon, playing Russian Roulette with a dose of chlamydia....Or I guess you might be drooling over the great stuff at Nana Plaza.

Anyways, I thought I would get at least two replies, but one person sent me a private message with his information out of fear of being outted for actually having a decent taste in music and / or nightlife.

Have fun and watch your wallet....If there's someone out there who could provide some answers to my innocent inquiry, I'd greatly appreciate it.
