I believe that there is a problem with posting images at the moment.

Ther is no image with your post, so without seeing it, can't help.

The attachment went a bit awry at first.

Should be fixed now.

Looks like something out of the Quatermass Experiment.

It`s not life as we know it, Jim.

gf told me its "poa" no idea what is that but i guess a kind of fungus as she said it isnt a nest. apparently from what i was told, they bring some luck

This word "appeared" is a bit concerning......it "appeared" overnight? or have you not bothered cleaning the kitchen for a few months? w00t.gif

What ever it is, it appeared quite quickly. A few days, a week at most.

An Alien?

Does it light up in the dark?

Did you already consider to turn your kitchen into a pilgrimage place and charge a small fee to come pray to the Lord?

Harvest it. Take to the nearest market. You may make some money. Sorry you can not do because you will need a work permit. Make sure it is your GF who does the selling.

The size it appears in the photo is deceptive.

Judging by the electrical junction box, the growth is probably just a few inches in length and width.

It appears to be a lump of fungus and crud as perhaps that room is dark, humid, damp and hot. The electrics inside the box omit some heat, hence the attraction of this growth around the box.

I would guess that the room has not been used or cleaned for several weeks as this is something that could never materialise just in a few days.

I can just imagine you having a bad day, then walking into that room, turning the light on and saying. 'oh, brilliant! What the fuc_k is THAT'. Lol.

Is it an ant nest?

An Alien?

Not seen her for a while. But I'm sure she would know...

I thought it might be a form of extra-terrestrial life.

If I woke up and that was in my kitchen I would be getting the hell out of there!

Very prudent. I doubt we'll be hearing from the OP again...

I'm frightened to go into my own kitchen now, for fear of what I might find...

EDIT: Well, I overcame my fears... didn't find any aliens, but I did find a Tiger in my fridge...

If it's fungus then it could well spring up (grow) overnight.

We have all heard of the expression "mushrooming" which is often used to describe anything that grows quickly.

You have a fungus, it would seem, so cut it out and thoroughly cleanse the whole area.

It won't bite.

P.S.That nice little girl in the photo above is a bit 'boss-eyed' It can be corrected nowadays.

I always go cross eyed when I`m eating a vagina, but I had to give up after all my teeth fell out.

Are you not better to remove your teeth before you start?

MYSTERY SOLVED.

The mystery has been solved.

I'd love to regale you all with tales of mysterious and frightening monsters but the answer is far more mundane and boring.

During the downpours of the last few days some loose branches and other green debris has blown onto my roof. The rain has found an entry point into the room and brought with it slurry from the afore mentioned debris.

The mysterious subject was nothing other than MUD.

That's all it was.

It doesn't look very mud-like to me...

It doesn't look very mud-like to me...

To me it looks like an insect build structure. It resembles a termite nest to me.

Mud. That's what THEY told him to say

An Alien?

its a farang

Mud. That's what THEY told him to say

I imagine they chose a farang household in Thailand as their first base as the chance of zombification being noticed would be minimal.

I wonder how many of our fellow posters are already in the thrall of the aliens...

Ignorance can be bliss, if i had zombies in my residence i would not notice, i would offer them a cup of tea.

I thought termites too!

On further research I'm pretty sure it was a termite nest --- made of mud.

I've also found eveidence of their little mud tunnels that they build to get around.

I didn't find any actual termites but I'll need to keep an eye open and let the landlady know......

That's really not convincing... mud? termites? we know the truth, and you'll never get away with it.
