Fire Breaks Out on CNG-Powered Bus in Bangkok’s Phaya Thai District
Picture from responders. A fire was reported on a blue Bonluck air-conditioned public bus powered by NGV fuel in Phaya Thai District. The incident occurred at 06:15 on December 9,in front of the Phahon Yothin Place building on Soi Phahon Yothin 8, Phahon Yothin Road, Sam Sen Nai Subdistrict, Phaya Thai District, Bangkok. The fire originated in the engine compartment of the bus, causing damage to the engine but sparing the rest of the vehicle. There was not evidence of any leak in the CNG system. Firefighters from the Phahon Yothin Fire and Rescue Station arrived promptly at the scene and successfully extinguished the flames using water misting system, from the rapid response firefighting motorcycle deployed from the station. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the engine compartment. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident, as the bus was quickly stopped by the driver and passengers evacuated and the driver was unsuccessfully in extinguishing the fire with the fire extinguisher fitted to the bus. Authorities are conducting further inspections to ensure the safety of other buses using similar fuel systems, within the fleet of vehicles. -- 2024-12-10 -

I was absolutely mortified at what I witnessed yesterday.
If you can't see that imposing western fear based regulations on Thailand will not stop at helmets you are apparently not intellectually prepared for a discussion on the subject. It begins with helmets and ends with just another western type fear based over regulated <deleted> hole like the ones some of us wanted to leave behind. You should take your helmet wearing crusade to the US and lecture the state legislators of the following states, or is it only Thailand that deserves your dictatorship desires concern? Trump Vows 'Retribution Through Success' as He Rejects Pursuit of Political Enemies
The lame duck felonious president elect Mr. Trump acts like a mob boss. He doesn't need to directly order his goons to do the dirty. He simply signals what he wants. That there are still clueless fools that don't get his vile authoritarian games by now beggars belief. As far as his comment on Ukraine -- HOW STUPID! Putin is clearly teetering, the ruble in shambles. butter being locked up in markets, pensioners living on a few hundred dollars a month with rapidly rising prices, massive casualties he is unable to replace even with his North Korean slaves, the incredibly dramatic and historic HUMILIATION in Syria, and what does Trump do?!? Instead of trying to strengthen Ukraine's possible negotiating position with a weakened Russia, he flippin' trashes Ukraine and threatens cut of aid. -

Do you wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle in Thailand?
My wife rides her own PCX around our house, but I made sure to get a single seater big bike. No questions about who is on it. -
