I think you're looking for a holiday . . . perhaps permanently.

Here is where it all started as far as music goes,i was young and this was being played a lot.

I guitarist, I bassist, a drummer and  a singer and that's it.

20 years old and in front of an audience of 600,000.

Passionate English blues

Another from the extensive ( and excellent ) blues catalogue of Free !!

The Aquarian Age's 10,000 Words in a Cardboard Box from '68.

And Twink's 1970 version.  Much more psychedelic.

I thought some posters were sailing close to the wind in a particular thread today.

So what happened?  'Land Ho' came to mind.

Another nice blues number from the Aussie band, Chain, in '71.

Jim and Van on the same bill for 2 dollars and a drink.

If only Jim had lived long enough to come to Thailand. I'm sure Bangkok would have been right up his soi.

Great stories, bannork.  Enjoyed that a lot!

Hard to find any quality audio recordings from Whisky A Go Go from the 60's.  Johnny Rivers debuted with the Live From The Whisky A Go Go released in '64.  Whisky A Go Go (West Hollywood, as the original opened in '58 in Chicago) opened on Jan. 16, 1964 and Rivers was asked to open the club.  Always loved Johnny Rivers and unfortunately he's yet to be inducted into the Rock 'N Roll Hall Of Fame.

Short lived L.A. garage rock band from the mid-60's, The Starfires.  Their fine tune "Linda b/w I Never Loved Her" from '65.

The Neutrons' Sorrow At Sunset recorded in my neck of the woods in '64.
