September 4, 201213 yr Hello I am returning to chiangmai for a holiday and want to know if my old restaurant called the western pub is still open in Robinson Plaza. It was located on the top floor of Robinson Plaza around five years ago Any updated information on this restaurant would be much appreciated. Thank you.
September 4, 201213 yr It's closed. They re-opened far away from Airport Plaza and it is not the same. Totally different.

September 4, 201213 yr Lots of changes in the 5 years since you were last here. Suggest you browse the forum for the many many food related topics and some of the recent ones have included bangers & mash, fish & chips and the other old favourite curry !
September 4, 201213 yr I, for one, was very sorry to see it close. Hubby actually enjoyed shopping trips to Airport Plaza. I'd park him at the Western Pub, return with packages for him to watch and then go on with more shopping. Sometimes he'd stay there for hours while I saw a movie that wasn't of interest to him. O-time in Kad Suan Kaew fills the same niche -- great husband-parking place that he looks forward to visiting. Nothing similar at Airport Plaza, at least not that we've found.
September 4, 201213 yr I miss it too. It was a fun place to sit and have a beer served by pretty girls dressed in cowboy outfits, whilst the wife went shopping. Another victim of puritanical Thailand? Cold Beer, Warm Atmosphere

Please tell me more..... i.e. where to find it and what it is. I much prefer bag watching to the trundling around and the "no, your bum does not look big in that", etc.

There is a Karaoke joint on the top floor of KSK near the front. I'm sure he would be happy parked there for a couple of hours.

Didn't know they did Karaoke. Thought they just served beer, looked good and told Hubby he was a handsome man. Maybe the karaoke gets cranked up later in the day. We're retired and I like to see matinees and he likes to take in the local sights in the afternoon!
September 5, 201213 yr Author Thanks all for the replies I will be heading there on our upcoming visit Cheers Troy
