September 4, 201213 yr I was interested in going down to BKK from CNX in early October, but I heard that last year travel by travel was halted thanks to the floods. Should I anticipate the same trouble and take advantage of Bangkok Airways deal or go ahead with the plan to take the train?
September 4, 201213 yr Author Could I afford the plane ticket? Sure, just bought a few. But I'm in no rush to get down there and back, so a one way plane tickets costs the same as 2 ways by train. Though it isn't a huge amount of money by any means. And it may be a safer bet than gambling on the train tracks being clear...
