lopburi3 Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 I agree there has been something wrong for the last week or two and often have page stop loading when my curser is set in the advertising field. If I move it around the page continues to load. But this only happens about one time in four so hard to say why. I am using Opera but even if I switch to IE have load problems. But then again the internet itself has not been exactly great recently on my TRUE connection with frequent less than dial up speeds. Would be interested if anyone else has noticed a correlation between mouse movement and loading. Just to kill all my free times ... I want to spend all my times on TV...so that I won't get bored. Watching and waiting for the page to pop up between my baths is not my idea of fun! With IE not having any trouble now. With Opera still have a serious no load problem if curser key in the Google block - stops dead until the curser is moved out of the advertising area. I suspect that is the same problem we have in Opera with the display of PM messages behind the advertising and nothing can be done. A very unsophisicated test was to hit the reload button and watch the status bar and see what links were being drawn in and some time ratios. media.thaivisa.com google-analytics.com pagead2.googlesyndication.com yceml.net truehits.gits.net stats.bigboard and a couple of others can't catch the URL of. So indeed a lot of activity going on. A large percentage seemed to be on the media.thaivisa.com loading. Some delays with google-analytics.com. Don't know what yceml.net is but loading seemed minimal, truehits sometimes a bit of a delay there. When I get to my laboratory tomorrow and get on my unix server I will try to run better analysis of the traffic patterns to see I can find a bottleneck. huski Posted January 29, 2006 Share Posted January 29, 2006 last week there was a bad router/switch (located in the savvis.net network) between thailand and two hops before our server in the united states. once it was identified, traffic was re-routed. anyone having delays, please do the following and paste your results in this thread: go to a c:/ prompt and type in tracert thaivisa.com click enter this trace will show the hops from your ISP to our server. also do a trace route with the following and post the results: tracert media.thaivisa.com Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
