EV Owners Frustrated as Samui Ferries Restrict EV Transport Over New Year Period
That's a point. The only extra risk from EVs that I could see is that a the ferry operator may not be ready to handle a battery fire. -

EV Owners Frustrated as Samui Ferries Restrict EV Transport Over New Year Period
Just understand that Hybrids are 140x more likely to catch fire than an EV, and an ICE 20 to 60x more likely. How hard is that ??? When was the last vehicle you saw on the side of the road on fire (that had no been in a crash) - not social media hype and click-baiting... but the last time you saw in person a car on the side of the road ??... Have you ever seen that ? was it an EV ?? Its the same as SuperCars - the media would have us believe supercars are more likely catch fire because when one does catch fire it goes viral... but Fred's mini-down the road is of no interest to anyone. We should be approaching these topics with intelligence, not dumb paranoia or poorly focused pre-loaded agenda. -

Tyre Explosion at Ang Thong Repair Shop Leaves Worker Injured
Yes, in Prachinburi. Happens here alot as these small tyre repair shops never seem to have a proper cage surrounding the tyre when it's being inflated. -

Agent for annual retirement extension?
I’m feeling lazy this year and thinking of sending an agent to get my annual retirement extension from Soi 5. Only that service, I have the money in the bank so there’s no need for the dodgy agent-loan facility they offer. The last time I did this it cost 8,000 Baht, including the 1,900 Baht Immigration fee. So far, I’ve asked for a price from two agents (Karen and Always Pattaya) and the quotes have been for 12,000 Baht. I told them that it’s just the paperwork I want sorted, no loans or anything else, which I recall used to cost quite a bit extra, but they say that 12K Baht is the going rate now. Did the IO’s in Soi 5 increase their fees by 50%? The agent I last used has disappeared so I don’t have that option anymore. Has anyone found an agent lately who’s still willing to do the annual retirement extension for 8,000 Baht or thereabouts, or are those days long gone now? -

Thai Singer Died from Blood and Fungal Infections, Not from Neck Massage
Was obvious to me the blood infection was unrealated to the massages. Unfortunately she waited too long to get medical help and died nearly 2 months after begining to feel unwell. As per usual, the family were hoping for a handout. RIP young lady.
