Never used for UK / America to Thailand, though SC Does Western Union do transfers inside Thailand too?? Surely not their core business. Oh wait, Pattaya/Phuket to Isaan? I've used Western Union from other countries to other other countries. I used the Western Union agent for Other Countries to my wife in Thailand, but TT to bank account, not counter collect. I think the most important data will be the ID / Passport number, If the spelling of names, addresses, favourite colours is not quite right, I think if its similar and the numbers match up, you'll be OK SC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The clerk might ask the receiving party who is the sender and if they cannot spell the name properly might refuse to handover the money. Happened to the GF so I had to text her my family name. Not GF. Not BF. No buffaloes were lost, no bargirls sighed and told me how hansum I was. Friend changed jobs and got caught flat-footed when changing jobs and had to pay the rent. I didn't get notice of it until a few days after the message thru Facebook. So I wanted to send it ASAP and online was easier than marching myself to some seedy place.
